Was it kind of a shock? Well, yeah. But after about five minutes I started thinking about all the ways I could pimp out a place of my own, and I started getting pretty excited.

I could finally have the TV I want, and play it as loud as I wanted, whenever I wanted. Same thing with videogames, my iPod, and on and on.

So as soon as the conversation was over I went online looking for information comparing Dish Network vs Direct TV. No way was I gonna continue watching lame cable in MY place.

A screen pops up asking you how many pixels wide you want it to be. I put 3 here. Now we need to put something in it. Stop! Before we fill it with color, we have to make a new layer (CRTL+SHIFT+N). Now press SHIFT +F5 to bring up the Fill screen, and from the drop down menu choose '50% grey'. We don't need the selection now, so CRTL+D to deselect. Now a round circle isn't going to be very realistic. What we need to do now is distort it a bit. Press CRTL+T to enter transform mode, then right-click and choose 'Distort' from the menu. Now play around moving the handlebars around the square. Good. We could now just take the eraser tool and get rid of that bit in the middle. A better way, though, is to use a mask. At hte bottom of the layers panel you'll see a little grey rectangle with a white circle in it. Click it and our layer gets a brother. The foreground/background colors also change to black and white. Now if we paint black, it will take away the ring, and if we then paint white, it will bring back what we painted black. Just to the left of the mask icon on the layers panel, you will see as well the Layer Style icon. Click it now and from the list that springs down, choose 'Bevel and Emboss'. This is pops up another screen with lots of options on it. We don't need to change anything for now, though. Yellow Diamonds

Yellow diamonds are colored because of the impurities that are trapped inside diamonds when they are created. If a few of the millions of carbon atoms have been replaced by nitrogen atoms, then structure of the diamond will not be significantly altered but the clarity will be changed. The amount of color displayed is dependent on the amount of nitrogen involved.

The most common form of irradiation diamonds comes from alpha particles found in uranium compounds or from percolating groundwater. Green spots on the surface of the diamonds or a thin green film may develop on the skin of the diamond after long exposure to these particles. Many times this green coloration will be removed during the cutting or faceting process.

Bombardment by beta and gamma rays will color the diamond to a greater depth and in some rare case turn the entire stone green. Heating to temperature to just below 600 degrees Celsius can sometimes also cause a diamond to develop a green ting. Higher temperature may turn the stone to a less desirable yellow or brown color.

Black Diamonds

Black diamonds are found only in Brazil and the Central African Republic. Approximately 600 tons of conventional diamonds have been mined, traded, polished since 1900. Black diamonds have been found to contain trace elements of nitrogen and hydrogen. The original Xbox controller and the subsequent Controller S

Similar in design to the Sega Dreamcast controller, the Xbox controller includes two expansion slots, six analog buttons, two analog triggers, and two analog sticks, a total of eight digital buttons (four of which make up the d-pad), as well as built in rumble support. Differing from the Dreamcast controller, the Microsoft controller adds a right analog stick, making it similar to the configuration used by the Nintendo GameCube controller. It also adds the "black", "white" and "back" (select) buttons.

The Xbox controller went through a revision specifically for Japanese consumers and due to complaints that the initial controller was too bulky. The DualShock was subsequently used for the follow up system, the PlayStation 2, but was slightly altered to make the buttons pressure sensitive (except for L3, R3, Start and Select). Other minor modifications made include the change of cable (and end connector) color from grey to black, a slight squaring of the connector (compared to the original version - DualShocks provided with the smaller PSOne were even rounder), and "DUALSHOCK 2" printed in blue on the top of the controller next to where the cable enters. The new controller was dubbed the Dual Shock 2. While The original PlayStation controller was compatible with a few early PS2 games, almost all games now require the use of analog sticks, and many require the pressure sensitive buttons added by the DualShock 2. Due to it being the color of the standard console, the standard color of DualShock2s is black, although other colors are available, notably silver, included with the silver version of the console (both original and slimline versions). The Xbox 360 controller has wireless capabilities and removes the "black" and "white" buttons and in their place adds two "bumper" buttons, one above each trigger. Dalip Singh Rana^[3] (born August 27, 1972) better known by his ring name The Great Khali, is an Indian professional wrestler, actor and former powerlifter who won Mr. India in 1995 and 1996. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestling on its SmackDown! brand. Before embarking on his professional wrestling career, he was an officer in the Punjab state police; he was also a labourer.^[5]

Singh is a one-time World Heavyweight Champion, and appeared in the film The Longest Yard (2005).^[1]

Career

Under the ring name Giant Singh, Dalip Singh first became a professional wrestler for All Pro Wrestling (APW) in the United States of America, making his first appearance in October 2000, when teaming with Tony Jones against the West Side Playaz.^[1]

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2001-2002)

In August 2001, Singh was brought into New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) by Team 2000 leader, Masahiro Chono, as Giant Singh, along with another big man, Giant Silva.^[1] They were the tallest tag team in pro-wrestling history at an average height of 7 ft 2 1/2 in, and a combined weight of 805 lb. The two teamed up for the first time at the Tokyo Dome in October, labeled "Club 7" by Chono, and they defeated Yutaka Yoshie, Kenzo Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Wataru Inoue in a Handicap Match when Silva pinned Tanahashi and Inoue at the same time.^[6] Singh suffered his first loss in a tag match at the Tokyo Dome in January 2002, being cradled by Hiroyoshi Tenzan.^[7] He suffered another big tag defeat during March, being pinned by Manabu Nakanishi, and falling to a German suplex hold. His most critical loss came in August at Tokyo Nippon Budokan when, after a falling out, he was pinned by Silva in a singles match.^[1]

World Wrestling Entertainment

WWE Debut (2006)

On January 2, 2006, Singh was signed to a contract by WWE and assigned to the Deep South Wrestling developmental territory for training.^[1]^[8] With Daivari by his side, the un-named Singh debuted on WWE television on the April 7, 2006 episode of SmackDown!, attacking The Undertaker and leaving him out cold during his match with Mark Henry, and thus causing a no-contest.^[9]

Feuding with The Undertaker (2006)

The next week he was introduced as The Great Khali. Daivari explained that he now finally had a client that would destroy The Undertaker (after Muhammed Hassan and Mark Henry had failed previously).^[10] Khali made his in-ring debut on the April 21, 2006 edition of SmackDown!, defeating Funaki.^[11]

On the May 12, 2006 edition of SmackDown, JBL put Khali against World Champion Rey Mysterio. Khali had a height advantage of two feet and a weight advantage of 250 pounds, and gained an easy victory over Mysterio.^[12] In his match against The Undertaker at Judgment Day 2006, Khali landed a series of blows to his opponent, and finally defeated The Undertaker with a kick to the head after receiving some illegal help from Daivari during the phase when The Undertaker had him under control.^[13]^[14] Khali continued on a rampage for several weeks, winning handicapped matches, beating superstars up in a display of power, and mocking The Undertaker's signature pin and victory pose.

Khali then challenged The Undertaker to a Punjabi Prison Match.^[15] The two were scheduled to meet in such a match at The Great American Bash, but Khali was removed from the match due to elevated liver enzymes and replaced by The Big Show.

Khali later received a clean bill of health, and the August 4, 2006 episode of SmackDown would see Khali being challenged by The Undertaker to a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam.^[16] However, the match was moved to the SmackDown! just prior to SummerSlam and was won by The Undertaker, giving Khali his first definite loss in WWE.^[17]

ECW brand (2006)

By October of that year, news came that Khali would return to WWE, along with Daivari, to join its revived ECW brand. Khali then feuded with Tommy Dreamer, where Khali would assault Dreamer and chokebomb him on a regular basis. Sometimes it would be on the steel entrance stage,^[18] a steel chair,^[19] or the padded floor outside the ring.^[20]

Feuding with Kane (2007)

On the January 8, 2007, episode of RAW, Jonathan Coachman announced that Khali's contract with ECW had expired, he had signed with RAW (without his manager Daivari), and would battle John Cena in the main event. Khali won by disqualification after Cena took a steel chair held by Armando Estrada and hit Khali with it. After the match, Khali chokebombed Cena to the mat and left the ringside area, leaving Cena prone to an attack by Umaga.^[21]

On the February 19, 2007 edition of Raw, Khali demanded better competition after easily defeating The Highlanders.^[22] Four days later on SmackDown!, Khali sought for better competition, interfering in a Falls Count Anywhere, Money In The Bank qualifying match between Kane and King Booker. Khali cost Kane the match,^[23] leading to a match at WrestleMania. In his first appearance at the event, Khali defeated Kane at WrestleMania 23 after slamming him with a choke drop. Right after the match, Khali choked Kane with his own hook and chain.^[24]

Chasing WWE Championship (2007)

On the April 30, 2007 edition of RAW, The Great Khali attacked Shawn Michaels, Edge, and Randy Orton (all three top contenders to the WWE Championship at the time) backstage. He then attacked WWE Champion John Cena as well, sending a message that he wanted Cena's title.^[25] The next week on RAW, Khali defeated Michaels in a No. 1 contender's match for the WWE Championship at Judgment Day.^[26] At the event, Khali's efforts came up short as he lost via submission for the first time ever, tapping out to John Cena's STFU. However, at Judgment Day, Khali's foot was under the rope when he tapped out, which went unnoticed by the referee.^[27] The next night on RAW, Khali expressed his outrage via his translator over the outcome.^[28] At One Night Stand, Khali lost to John Cena after he was FU'd off a crane bed. This would be the first time that The Great Khali had ever been pinned.^[29]

World Heavyweight Champion (2007)

On the June 11 edition of RAW, as part of the WWE Draft, Khali was drafted from Raw to SmackDown! as SmackDown's first draft pick.^[30] He would soon enter a feud with Batista in July before The Great American Bash.^[31] The two were scheduled for a match on PPV on Sunday, July 22, 2007. However, because Edge vacated the World Heavyweight Championship due to an injury, Khali won a 20-man Battle Royal for the title on the July 20 (taped on July 17) edition of SmackDown!, eliminating both Kane and Batista in one move.^[32] Khali dominated and defeated both Batista and Kane that same week at The Great American Bash.^[33] Khali then debuted a new finisher called the "Khali Vice Grip" which he used to wear down Ric Flair, Batista and Kane. At SummerSlam he lost to Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship but was disqualified for the use of a chair, thereby retaining the title.^[34] Khali then began a feud with Rey Mysterio after Mysterio won a "Championship Competition" making Mysterio the No. 1 contender. On the September 7 edition of Smackdown!, after Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero in an I Quit match, Khali applied his Vice Grip on Mysterio until Batista came to the rescue. After the assault, General Manager Theodore Long informed Khali that he would be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against both Rey Mysterio and Batista in a Triple Threat Match at Unforgiven, in which Khali lost to Batista after receiving a Spinebuster.^[35] Khali would then lose his rematch at No Mercy when he failed to escape the Punjabi Prison before Batista.^[36] He was challenged by the Undertaker to a No Holds Barred match before Armageddon in an attempt to gain momentum before the event, which the Undertaker won via the triangle-choke.

2008

In 2008, Khali was put in a program with Finlay usually trying to assault Hornswoggle but with Finlay stopping him. Khali participated in the 2008 Royal Rumble but was eliminated in about a minute by The Undertaker. Khali participated in the Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out. He was again eliminated by The Undertaker, who used his new submission finisher, the gogoplata. Khali participated in the 24-man battle royal in a Dark match at WrestleMania XXIV for getting an opportunity to challenge the ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero at the event, however he was not successful as the match was won by Kane (who eventually went on to win the championship). Khali then began a feud with The Big Show, where Khali lost to Show at Backlash via Chokeslam. On the May 2nd edition of SmackDown, Khali was choked out by The Undertaker's gogoplata, thus kayfabe injuring him.

The average person who uses a personal computer on a frequent basis doesn't think about what happens inside a personal computer once the electricity is switched on. As long as their version of MS Windows pops up within a few seconds, most people are quite happy to continue on with what they want to do on their personal computer. A personal computer goes through many processes from the moment the electricity is switched on before its operating system (ex. Windows, Linux) is fully loaded and takes over. The operating system is stored on the hard drive of a personal computer. It is stored on the hard drive because this kind of storage is much less costly and an operating system requires a large amount of storage space. So, in order to make personal computers more inexpensive, they are designed to use a mixture of ROM, DRAM, and hard disks. An account of each follows.

Once the electricity switch is switched on, the "boot-up" process begins. To "boot-up" a personal computer merely means to initiate it. Electricity then moves through all of the chips and their circuits. The instructions for what the personal computer is meant to do next are found in the Read Only Memory, Basic Input/Output System (ROM BIOS). ROM is memory that can only be read from and has data that is permanently burned into it. It is nonvolatile and will not be lost or vanish once the electricity is switched off.

ROM BIOS or just BIOS, is intended to begin giving instructions as soon as it receives electricity. The BIOS contains an entire set of instructions, in effect a personal computer program written into the chip that manages the boot-up process. Without the BIOS, the personal computer would'nt know what to do next. The first task that BIOS completes is to make sure that all of the hardware components are working properly (for example: disk drives, external buses, the mouse, the printer). This is called a electricity-on self-test (POST). After the POST is complete, the BIOS activates other chips on different cards installed in the personal computer (SCSI and graphics cards) and provides a set of low-level routines that the operating system uses to interface to different hardware devices such as the keyboard, mouse, printer, etc.

Once the POST is complete, the BIOS hands the next stage in the boot-up process over to the central processing unit (CPU). The central processing unit is a one chip processor or microprocessor that has two distinctive capabilities:

1. The CPU carries out all of the mathematical and logical operations including basic math and comparisons of two or more numbers.

2. The central processing unit has the ability to intelligently manage the flow of instructions and data going into and out of its circuits.

The final instruction that the ROM sends to the CPU is to go to a precise location or address to locate its next instruction. An address is a string of numbers that gives instructions to where something can be found, much like an address on an envelope. Personal computers use addresses to keep track of data much the same way as the post office uses them to locate residences and businesses. The larger the number in an address the more locations it can refer to. Most present personal computers use a 32-bit address space for memory, which indicates that there can be over four billion separate locations to contain data.

The instruction that the ROM BIOS wants the central processing unit to carry out is sent through a chip on a bus (a set of wires) to the address specified. The data bus is able to carry data into and out of the chip inside the CPU. The data isn't available inside the CPU so it has to search elsewhere. The CPU then sends the address on another bus called an address bus. When the CPU does this, it is called a fetch. The address bus is "fetching" data from elsewhere inside the personal computer. The address bus is only able to carry instructions out of the CPU.

The address bus fetches data from the personal computer's memory. Memory is a kind of silicon chip that can contain instructions or data. This kind of memory can be read from or written to by the CPU, but this kind of memory or Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) is volatile. Once the electricity is switched off, the DRAM looses its memory or data. Since the DRAM is basically a blank slate, the CPU has inside, a set of sequential instructions as to where to search for the required data.

Before the address bus can get to memory, it has to pass through a set of chips called a chipset. The chipset refers to a collection of chips that provide an intelligent interface for the core workings of a personal computer - central processing unit, memory, graphics, I/O system, described as core logic or glue logic. If the data that the chipset needs isn't in memory, the chipset then sends or redirects it to the Input/Output (I/O) bus. The I/O bus connects the chipset to supplementary places where the data is stored, such as the hard drive. The hard drive permits the CPU to read from it and to write to it. The hard drive is non-volatile so it keeps its data or data once the electricity is switched off. A hard disk is much slower at retrieving data from than memory but memory is much more costly.

Once the hard drive gets the address (via the I/O bus and chipset), it retrieves the data and sends it back through the chipset and then puts it on the address bus back into the CPU. The chipset functions as a bridge for the two buses; the I/O bus and the address bus.

The central processing unit uses a four step sequence: fetch, decode, execute, and store. Since the CPU does not retain its memory, it has to obtain its data or fetch the data from elsewhere inside the personal computer. To help with the speed of the process of fetching, the CPU has a pre-fetch area to make the data available more readily.

Once the data has been fetched, it has to be decoded. Part of the decoding process of the CPU is to decide which circuits are appropriate to use for executing the instructions. Once that decision has been made, the CPU begins to execute the instructions. The part of the CPU where the actual execution of instructions takes place is called the Arithmetic Logical Unit (ALU). The ALU includes groups of transistors, known as logic gates, which are organized to carry out basic mathematical and logical operations. Logic gates are grouped into electrical circuits that execute the CPU's instructions such as "add" two numbers or "compare" two numbers.

The final step of the central processing unit is to store the data. This final step takes place after the ALU completes its calculations. The results of the calculations are stored on a chip that has an area called a register. Registers can be accessed more quickly than any other kind of memory but are only for temporary containing (storage) of data.

The CPU also has a clock inside it to keep the timing of all of the flow of data and processes of the personal computer. This clock is vital to the synchronization of all of the processes of the personal computer. This CPU clock controls all of the operations on its chip. The processes of the CPU can also be interrupted by an external interrupt controller chip which is part of the chipset. The chipset contains a small database of interrupt vector (numerical table). When an interrupt signal comes onto the chip, the CPU saves what it is doing and goes to the interrupt vector to locate the address of the instruction that the interrupt is telling it to execute instead. Once it is finished with the interrupt, it goes back to what it was doing. The CPU locates what it was doing in a register called a stack. If interrupts were not possible, the CPU would have to complete one task before it could start another causing the speed to be greatly reduced.

Now that the central processing unit has found the operating system, loaded it into memory, the operating system takes over and the personal computer is now ready to be used by its owner. The user can now check email, play a game, or do whatever they wanted to do when they started the personal computer.

The main function of the foreign exchange market is to support the trading of assorted global currencies.
